Our goal is to offer innovative packaging that supports a zero-waste lifestyle with our reduce, replace, reuse, and recycle initiatives.

Reduce

We’re striving to reduce fossil fuel-based virgin plastic by 30% compared to 2017 and minimize the amount of plastic packaging used via innovative design.

Replace

We’re striving to incorporate 50% Post Consumer Recycled Materials in our plastic packaging and use responsibly sourced wood fiber materials.

Reuse

We innovate with new reuse and refill packaging formats that help our consumers reuse their original packaging many times.

Recycle

We plan to have all our packaging designed for recycling. By 2023, we will eliminate the use of black plastic.

Our production is all about doing more and better with less. We strive to be respectful of our resources every step of the way with ongoing efforts to reduce our carbon emissions, water consumption and waste generation. From replacing fossil fuels with green forms of energy to generating our own solar power in the US - we are always looking to reduce our environmental impact and expand our sustainability initiatives.

Our Sustainability Goals

Zero Waste

Our US operated factories use 100% renewable energy, and we have a set plan to eliminate our waste to landfills by 2025.

Water Conservation

We strive to implement a wastewater treatment technology that recovers and reuses wastewater by 2026.

Energy Reduction Plan

As of 2010 we’ve reduced our yearly energy consumption by 14%, our water consumption by 23% and our wastewater volume by 19%.

Pores aren’t the only things we obsess about – we’re also passionate about our planet. That’s why we’re so proud to announce that our products are now carbon neutral, which is confirmed by the ClimatePartner label. ClimatePartner is an organization that helps us calculate, reduce and offset our carbon footprint. Find out more about our partnership here. Climate change is no longer a future problem – it’s happening now. And it’s one of the greatest global challenges we face. Bioré® skincare believes sustainability is the only path forward. Together with ClimatePartner, we have calculated our carbon footprint and are taking measures to cut our footprint or work to offset all emissions that cannot yet be avoided as we make the products you love.

SUSTAINABLE FORESTRY INITIATIVE

We are committed to responsibly and sustainably sourcing all of our paperboard to help with forest conservation; therefore, we have partnered with the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI). 100% of our cartons and corrugate shippers are sourced from suppliers that maintain SFI or FSC certifications, which means they follow best practices in sustainable forestry standards and contribute to reforestation initiatives.
